TERI Adds Two More Adult Residential Homes

KAUFFMAN HOUSE - Update: Opening Fall 2022
The Kauffman House is designed to serve young women (18-30 years old) with developmental disabilities. Currently, all residents are living with autism spectrum disorder. Families must be able to assume partial ownership of the home which at the time of purchase becomes a donation awarded to TERI. Monthly fees also apply. The Ideal Resident The ideal resident will have verbal communication skills, but those without, will not be eliminated from the selection process. Home Features

Home Environment
An active home, providing a wide variety of community-based activities.
24-hour awake staff licensed as an ICFDD-H home through CA Department of Public Health.
Highly structured routine.
Transportation to and from their chosen TERI day program will be funded via SDRC.
Healthy, whole foods diet will be provided; special dietary needs/requirements can be accommodated.
All levels of independence with ADL's are accepted.
WILL'S HOUSE - Opening Fall 2022
The Will's House is designed to serve 3 residents, male or female (18-45 years old). All types of development disabilities may be appropriate.
The home will be secured and located near The TERI Campus of Life in San Marcos, CA. Monthly fees apply and costs not supported by public agencies will need to be covered by a special needs trust to ensure future care.
The Ideal Resident
The ideal resident will have good verbal conservation skills, enjoy talking/interacting with others, a wide variety of community-based activities and like dogs. He or she will not be sensitive to loud or excessive noise (music, TV, activities, etc.). The individual will also need to attend an adult day program or be employed.
Home Environment
Residents will be suitable for Supported Living Services as sourced through SDRC.
The home will have staff available to assist clients 24-hours per day. The number of staff hours will be individualized per client according to the individual’s IPP.
Residents will have staff support for ADL’s, meal prep, shopping, community access, medication administration, as needed and as outlined in the service plan.
This home will allow for choice(s) throughout the day of menu, in-home activities, community-based activities, etc.
A healthy, whole foods diet will be provided; special dietary needs/requirements can be accommodated..
