TERI’s
new Campus Project will accommodate our model programs and research
and will serve as a diagnostic and training center for San Diego
and neighboring counties. The campus will allow all of our programs
to relocate to one site and will provide space for future model
program development.
Located on a 20-acre parcel of land in the Twin Oaks Valley of San
Marcos, the new campus will accommodate the educational, research
and therapeutic programs operated by the agency, to include relocation
of The Center for Art & Adult Education, the TERI Learning Academy,
The Country School, the corporate-sponsored childcare program, recreation
and therapy programs, and community training facilities. Construction
costs are estimated at $20 million.
The project also allows for expansive park and recreation areas,
leaving 80 percent of the grounds open as natural outdoor environments
for the students to use and enjoy while preserving significant elements
of the property, including a historic building.
The ultimate goal of this project is to continue our dedication
to establishing quality standards and the development of new treatment
methodologies for the special children and adults we serve.
